IMAM Exchange Swatches | Part 2

Hey guys! I hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving and a fun Black Friday, I know I did! So this is part 2 of my IMAM exchange swatches. This time, the brand I will be swatching is Shiro Cosmetics. I was super excited and happy that my exchange partner included Shiro in my gift because I had never tried them before. 

**All the eyeshadow swatches are done over Darling Girl's Glitter Glue**

Description: Vivid, strangely metallic limey lightsaber green

Description: Warm, lightly shimmery orangey-red

Description: Deep maroon with blue shimmer

Description: Pale shimmery lavender

Description: Muted Tesseract blue with strong golden duochrome

Description: Blackened amethyst with bright purple sparkle

Description: Silvered royal purple over a blood-red base

Description: A twilit forest: blackened blue and green tones with slightly metallic shimmer

Description: Deep teal with very strong green shimmer

Description: Bright, punchy coral with light shimmer

Description: Moderately opaque fuchsia-mulberry

Whoo, that was quite a bit of swatches. Overall, I am completely happy with all the shadows I got. I will definitely be getting more products from Shiro. I have to say though, the shadow that surprised me the most was Mother of Dragons. The pigment is red until you swatch it and turns into a silvery purple. It was definitely a good surprise though.

IMAM Exchange Swatches | Part 1

In one of my posts I mentioned the subreddit /r/IndieMakeupandMore(IMAM). Well on that subreddit there was an exchange that I participated in. These are the things my lovely partner /u/JaneEyrewithSparkles got me. She did get me a lot of stuff so I will be separating everything into 4 different posts categorized by brands.

So, first up is Darling Girl Cosmetics, I haven't tried anything from them except for the glitter glue which is amazing by the way.

Description: Was a customer designed shade inspired by the Green Day song of the same name.  Bright purple with turquoise shift and gold sparkles.

Description: Rich teal with strong green flash and a subtle shift to almost a periwinkle shade.

Description: A medium purple entwined with a green to pink shift which may even appear to have a slight blue sheen at some angles. While this color is dazzling enough to cause mass hysteria, there is no need for human sacrifices but dogs and cats living together is perfectly acceptable.

Description: Its Christmasy time downtown here in who-ville,

                     I'm Lefty-Loo Who, here to give you a thrill! 

                     See this color is piney just like your Christmasy tree! 

                     try it, you'll love it , you'll love it you see! 

Purple Haze: A vibrant red-violet with a soft red undertones and just the tinest bit of red iridescence. Finish: Satin

Little Mischief: Slightly earthy plum with copper sheen.

Kiss the Frog: Deep plummy wine with a soft satin finish.

Don't Eat the Apple: Candy apple red with blue sheen.  Makes a stunning eye shadow too!

Alrighty, so that's all for the Darling Girl Shadows. I seriously can't wait to start using these colors!

FOTD featuring Chopin and Drama Queen

To start, I would like to say that I am no makeup artist. I would say my makeup skills are about average. When I first tried out this look I was surprised at how good it turned out. Not to boast but this is probably the best makeup look I've ever done. Now let's just hope I can recreate it again. *crosses fingers*

Nail Art | Gradient Nails

For a long time I've been wanting to try doing gradient nails but honestly I've been a little afraid to. I know the technique seems easy but I was afraid of messing up. Well, a couple days ago I decided to finally give it a try.

Okay, okay! Don't make fun of my clean up job. I couldn't find the brush I usually use to clean it up with so I was stuck using Q-tips. Plus, I know my cuticles are looking a little dry. If anyone can recommend a good cuticle oil that would be awesome!

Hello Waffle Swatches

My love for indie makeup started a couple months ago when I discovered the subreddit indiiemakeupandmore. The two main reasons why I love indie makeup is because the colors are so beautiful and unique and because the customer service is (most of the time) amazing. If something goes wrong with your order, the owners are more than happy to fix it for you.

Now as I've said in my Welcome Post my collection is really small. So small that I've only tried one brand. Which brings us to this post, swatches of my very small collection of Hello Waffle eyeshadows. Some of these are sample sizes, some are mini's and some are full sizes. Now let us begin...

All of these swatches were taken under sunlight. No primer was used on any of these except for Hearts and Schubert(NYX Milk).
